Kimi Cheong

Kimi joined Clear Legal because of its focus on utilizing a range of methods of dispute resolution, which aligns with their own compassionate and client-centered approach. The first step in their legal career was an externship at a pro-bono legal clinic serving women and gender diverse people all over BC in family matters. Kimi's primary goals in all family litigation are to try and resolve outside of court, and to minimize costs for her clients, as she appreciates that separation can be expensive, stressful, and emotionally overwhelming.

Since joining Clear Legal, Kimi has appeared in the BC Supreme Court, the BC Provincial Court, and at Residential Tenancy Branch hearings. They have also completed training in the Collaborative Divorce process and are available for Collaborative Divorce files, offering clients an alternative to traditional litigation that emphasizes cooperation and mutual respect.

Outside of work, Kimi is a professional musician, having sung in multiple award-winning choirs in the Lower Mainland over the years. She has two hairless sphynx cats, Nori and Sesame, and enjoys playing Dungeons & Dragons on the weekends.
